Clayton Schiff "Lay of the Land": Los Angeles

Sebastian Gladstone Gallery is pleased to announce Lay of the Land, a solo exhibition of new paintings by Clayton Schiff. The exhibition presents a new body of work in which Schiff trains his attention on landscapes both literal and imagined, ranging from the urban to the natural and from the commonplace to the otherworldly. Schiff is a patient observer of ordinary life. The works in Lay of the Land are by turns tender, comic, and unsettling. This is Schiff’s first solo exhibition in two years and his first with the gallery.
